Emergency water trucking and tank support delivered to drought-affected communities in Somaliland through coordinated humanitarian response.
Hargeisa, Somaliland | Completed

This project responded to severe drought conditions affecting families and pastoral communities in Somaliland. Al-Rahma Charity Organization coordinated emergency water distribution, including 1,000 water tankers and 40 secured water tanks, helping communities maintain access to safe water during a critical period. The project was implemented with field-level coordination, beneficiary verification, and local community engagement. It prioritized households facing immediate water shortage, including displaced families, vulnerable children, elderly people, and communities with limited access to functioning water sources. Beyond immediate water delivery, the intervention strengthened community resilience by improving temporary storage access and reducing the pressure on families forced to travel long distances for water.
