About Al-Rahma Programs
Emergency Lifesaving Interventions.
Since 2010, Al-rahma Charity has providing emergency lifesaving interventions often in conflict, post-conflict or disaster situations. We continue to assist hundreds of thousands of people displaced, rendered homeless or deprived of basic resources by cataclysmic events, whether man-made or natural, avoidable or not. The most urgent immediate programs we provide include water and sanitation, food, NFI, shelter, health, cash based assistance and core relief items. Through decades of crises and countless interventions, we have developed a unique body of expertise in addressing emergencies. From 2017 Al-Rahma has reached over 256,350 hh (1,538,100 people) with lifesaving programs.

Food security & Livelihood.
Al-rahma Charity and its partners empower local farmers and communities by providing them with the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources to improve their agricultural productivity and enhance their livelihood provide farmers with a generous supply of farm input tools and heavy equipment for land preparation and irrigation systems.

Protection
Human rights. Al-rahma works with families, communities and local authorities to prevent and respond to violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation with urgent and life-saving The aim of Protection is to ensure that conflict- and displacement-affected people enjoy their actions. Our programs ensure the protection needs of most vulnerable (women, children, girls) are met. To support women and girls in addressing the barriers and challenges they face and promote stable, positive, confident, and hopeful lives, Al-rahma has established centers provide:- • Psychosocial counseling support (PCS) and free legal aid to GBV survivors. • Risk mitigation activities in IDP camps. • GBV response and awareness training.

WASH
Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) are essential for people’s health. Alrahma focuses on bringing clean water, sanitation, and effective hygiene practices to crises-affected communities. Drought and conflict displaced families not to walk long distances or pay money to get water. Al-rahma focuses on building resilience of the communities through hygiene promotions, capacity building on water source maintenance and livelihoods support through Construction and rehabilitation of sustainable water supply systems (e.g. shallow wells, water reservoirs (berkeds), sand damps, water tanks, water kiosks and Construction of sanitation facilities (e.g. latrines)

EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The organization support the following students Every child deserves an education, but in Somaliland, where many families live on one or two dollars a day, school is an impossible. Students often cannot afford fees of school and are forced to leave schools. For that reason Al-Rahma charity implemented schools for orphans and we have 120 students who are orphans or come from poor families with different villages 1. We sponsored the education of 80 orphan students who study private primary and intermediate schools in Hargeisa. 2. We have 3 centers of teaching Qur’an schools that study 150 students who come from poor families. 3. Al-rahma has two skill training centers that empower widowed women, orphan women and girls who missed education opportunities, last year 80 women graduated different skills like tailoring, Hina Arts and cooking. 4. Al-rahma Charity focus on restoring and reinforcing community and household assets, capabilities, and strategies to improve and secure livelihoods during the recovery phase following a disaster or crisis, It is our belief that poverty can be ended through long-term , sustainable and economic growth programs.

HEALTH
Good health is central to human happiness and well-being. Al-rahma plays a crucial role in promoting healthcare of vulnerable populations in Somaliland and Somalia. Al-rahma implemented the health centers for mother and children, equipped health centers, increased access to basic health amongst the poor and marginalized groups through mobile health teams.
